I am the owner of Scarlet Thread. I started sewing at the foot of my Mom ever since I can remember. Mom was a seamstress and together Mom and Daughter took sewing classes together. We made most of our own clothing and we were always sewing for someone. I always was re-designing anything and everything I had bought or started from a pattern. Sewing was always a hobby until I moved to Kailua-Kona, Hawaii where it all came together.
I love to help Brides design their own Wedding Dress, and then make it for them! I have designed sewing programs for Kids not only to teach them to sew but also to be involved...design!
Along with Custom Sewing and Alterations, I love to quilt, not just blankets, but also quilt projects like table runner, purses and more.
