Half square triangles are the building blocks for many traditional patterns: 

baskets, pine trees, stars. bear's paws and more. 

Knowing how to make these units quickly and accurately will make your quilt-making 
much more fun. 

You will learn how to make this basic unit using 4 different methods as well as when to use each one.
